Pros

The only good thing to say about Evergreen is the insurance coverage/benefits/retirement plans.

Cons

Office managers shouting/yelling at subordinates at their wills in front of others publicly and being very sarcastic and insulting. Poor and dirty working environment. No multiculturalism promotion. Management claims employees are their best assets as a slogan. In actuality, it's all huge b.s. and lies. They don't care to know how employees really feel and think. There's no true appreciation no matter how hard and contributions were given before. One mistake you are striked out and no good. You have to be perfectionist all the time. The corrective action report is so biased against employees who made small mistakes. I always felt nervous working there every day.

Pros

Interviewed with Evergreen. Interview took place in the conference room. They had me fill out the paper application. Then I had a panel interview with 4 people. 2 Americans and 2 Taiwanese. Very relaxed setting. Everyone was very pleasant. Made me fill at ease. They asked me since logistics is a vast field why this type of position. They asked me what I like and disliked about my previous employer. Open cubicles, business casual, every desk has 2 monitors.

Cons

First 90 days - Pay rate 32-33k after 90 days pay scale went up to 38k. They said you could NOT make anymore pay raises for this position. Not sure if anyone makes over 50k at the Dallas office. Health Benefits were great. No out of pocket premium. Health benefits start after 90 days. Can't participate in 401k until after one year.

Pros

- Job security (almost impossible to get fired) - Friendly peers - Company car, laptop, and mobile phone - Flexible schedule - GREAT HEALTH BENEFIT (no premium for you and your spouse and zero copay)

Cons

- Perhaps one of the worst compensated reps in the industry. - Some of leadership personnel at Evergreen are just down right inadequate and irrelevant. - So much clock watching by management that it makes you wonder whether attendance is valued more importantly than performance at this place. - "One way street" as you can only take instruction from HQ and management. No feedback from non-management employee will be taken seriously at Evergreen. The main reason why their sales reps stay at this company for as long as they have is because of the company car. However, after years of doing the same thing (there's no possibility to move to another department unless you've made it to management), it becomes a true grind that you are hardly relevant anywhere else given the limited knowledge you have, which only applies to maritime shipping.
