Pros

The renewable energy leader is great and outlook for that department looks positive if a good team can be established. Many telecom field staff are talented and very hard workers, and have so much more potential if lead & respected properly.

Cons

Employees who are willing to perform, learn, and bring value to a true team environment may not make it because leaders who are insecure and/or bring personal baggage to work are quick to get rid of those who they feel threatened by, pressuring other employees once willing to perform to either adapt to these toxic behaviors, get pushed out, or leave. Leadership not living up to promised core values has created an unhealthy and stressful environment for many. This is especially apparent with the promise of creating a supportive environment. Many new hires do not experience a structured training program, nor do they receive (positive OR negative) feedback on a regular basis and are quickly left on their own to figure it out, causing existing employees already overloaded attempt to help new hires succeed. This has led to many new hires and those newly promoted with potential being set up to fail. Office drama is very common. Staff choose to talk behind field employees backs, leaving them to find out through rumors, causing further unneeded drama and stress. Leadership & office cliques formed, and even some of those within a clique talk behind each others backs. This combined with a lack of structure, organization, and accountability has resulted in a poor team environment. Recruitment promises are neglected, such as supportive feedback, open mindedness, frequent and reasonable compensation negotiation, official reviews, and training, leaving a giant hole of mistrust between employees and management. Despite significant employee base and revenue growth, along with holding higher positions - end-of-year incentives, as well as salary based pay instead of previous hourly pay may actually be less than the prior year, which is incredibly demotivating and destroys trust, respect, and energy. Manipulation tactics are often used by leadership to get those who disagree to play along temporarily. This only causes further tension. This has all created a significantly toxic environment, resulting in unhappy staff. Employees satisfied with their jobs are statistically proven to perform significantly better. This is unfortunately proven here as quality work, drive for a safe and healthy work environment, integrity, recognition for hard work, and employee-management trust has gone out the window, causing an unnecessarily poor reputation within the market as well as high stress from within. Like a broken Ferrari, a beautiful machine designed to operate as a fierce competitor on the road, left to either have a significant car crash or decay and collect dust.

Pros

It’s a revolving door of techs at Ethos and HR will hire almost anyone that walks in the door.

Cons

This is a sinking, burning ship. Despite their name, you won’t find integrity here. Anyone with a shred of self respect is already out the door or on the way out. They treat employees poorly, talk about them poorly and have no tangible training for their new hires. This leaves everyone else in a constant scramble and the result is the dumpster fire now clearly showing it’s colors. The only people that deserve to suffer this unfortunate place are the “management staff” that create a hostile and toxic work environment here.

Pros

The hours and pay are nice, I enjoy the atmosphere provided within each crew.

Cons

Lots of travel, but that’s not EDS’s fault in particular, that’s every tower company.
