Pros

It’s remote work and from home

Cons

Not organized. No real onboarding process. Mangers can’t control their emotions and will use it as an excuse to just terminate an employee. No clear training and development plan for employees. No clear call to action and job description. The owner is drowning and is to attached to his picked leaders to see they don’t have a clue or the organization best interests in mind. My onboarding was “here are links to videos - watch and then do.” My laptop I had to pick up it from a local store and then install all of the operating systems and software the company uses. Last point they claim to have access to numerous carriers… yet all quotes in my market were Hartford / Safeco / Travelers … for everything. When asked what about Allstate / Foremost / AAA / Lemonade / Aegis … crickets.

Pros

Cool office and flexible schedule

Cons

Unrealistic expectations with no help. You are 100% referral based and build your network by cold calling mortgage brokers in a dead market. Never bought leads. Constantly changing the structure of the company. Did not get paid much on new business and took over 3 months to actually get paid from what you sold.

Pros

Christmas party was fun but that’s about the only pro

Cons

Very high expectations from sales managers without much training. They expect you to be hitting 50k in premium within a few months which is very hard to do. Building relationships with lenders takes a while so that was unreasonable. When I left they didn’t pay me my final commission check either. Wouldn’t recommend sales in this company to anyone I know.
