Dishonest Human Ressources

Pros

Good atmosphere and colleagues. That's about it.

Cons

Management disconnected from their employees' needs. Very stagnant mindset and company culture. Lazy, dishonest, extremely cheap Human Ressources who not only pay way below their competitors, but are also totally shut to any discussion, reasonable renegotiation or compromise to make the employee's life better. I have never felt in all my years such disdain from HR.

Thanks for taking the time to share your opinions about your time at Equitable Life. Because you worked here for less than a year, you didn't have a chance to participate in one of our employee surveys. In fact, we're getting ready to launch one this fall. Through this process, and regular conversations between management and staff, we gather input directly from staff and work hard to address any issues they identify. We know the key to our success is having engaged and motivated employees and our HR department works hard to ensure we support them throughout all stages of their careers with us. That's one of the reasons we've been recognized every year for the last 11 years as one of Waterloo Region's Top Employers. I'm sorry you didn't feel that way. We'd be happy to discuss this further with you, if you'd like to get in touch.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about working at Equitable Life. We like getting four-star reviews. We like five-star reviews even more! We are a friendly bunch at Equitable. In fact, we promote a friendly, informal environment and open communication in all of our offices. Our employees speak to their managers on a regular basis, and get to know their coworkers-even outside of their immediate department. Everyone is treated as a person, not a number. At Equitable Life we are committed to advancing or transferring employees internally whenever possible, and we have a policy of posting jobs internally first. We know that recruiting internally recognizes the investment made by employees in the organization and supports employee career development. Please check the job postings often, and speak to your manager or HR about possible temporary rotational opportunities that can help you build your skills in other areas.
