      Money is what keeps people but maybe not for long...

      Pros

      -Excellent retirment benefits -Great pay for individuals who were retained from the Pride merger

      Cons

      -Lack of communication from upper management is frustrating -Company has doubled but is ran as a small company(no procedures, no structure and no direction) -Decisions are made by too few and usually by those who are not knowledgable enough or insecure -Disturbing when asked about community involvement that the CIO says "We feel Ensco does not owe them anything." -Penny pinching is very evident with the unwillingness to hire more than absolute base essential headcount even when it is not enough

      Pros

      Great offshore start. Great teachers who help you learn and grow. Safety was always priority, no matter the size of the job. Was able to work longer than other companies during recent down turn.

      Cons

      Lower average pay for most drilling outfits. The older rigs were pretty rough around the edges. Lots of politics/favorites from new/old rigs and personnel preferences. inability to adjust day-rates to maintain work for the "little guy"

      Good starting company. Solid benefits and high matching 401k

      Cons

      Training programs start strong then meander. Personnel can get lost without the proper supervisor and no clear goals, leading to the feeling of being lost.
