Pros

You will learn autocad editing.

Cons

Management will curse you out on a daily basis. Be prepared to be segregated if you become close to your coworkers they will continue to move you. You will not be told what is wrong with your work they will just wait till you leave to give it to someone else.

Pros

I worked with a great group of people and the work environment was pretty laid back. Flexible hours. Benefits after working there for a while. Not the greatest and not the worst bennies.

Cons

Their business plan is contract related. In so much as large telecom companies lay of their design engineers, and off load their design work to contractors. Companies like this will thrive. They provide minimal training and no real hope for long term work. They pay scale is hourly and very low. I used to do the same job for a local ILEC for $37.00 hr and was laid off. EA only paid $18.00 hr. They would lay everyone off in the fall when the work dried up.

Pros

Only real pro here is it's easy to get your foot in the door.

Cons

Oh where to start.... One manager will chew you out publicly for being "5 min late", never mind that the company has a flex time policy. So they just decided to change company policy. All the while that manger and "inner circle" go on two hour lunches. HR will here 20 legitimate complaints about a particular supervisor being bad on morale, abrasive, rude and/or just disgustingly mean spirited, and do nothing about it. The culture in this office office is honestly one of the absolute worst I have ever professionally seen. You can work hard and never get anywhere here. All the while your doing your job, you get to watch 75% of the rest of the office bumble around, play crosswords, play cards, take two hours to decide where they are going to lunch, or various other b/s. Oh but one perk, you get to watch in real time one manager get drunk or drugged up on prescriptions and post on facebook about the pay raise they just got or how much they hate their job. And the next day at work have them scream to everyone in the room how none of them are getting a raise this year.
