Pros
As a virtual employee, the position is very flexible in terms of work schedule. ESG is very supportive and a family-like atmosphere. The compensation was better than similar jobs elsewhere. The company supports employee education and training, and offers comprehensive benefits that are available immediately after being hired. The best reason is that ESG is well-positioned in a great field. The company holds a yearly meeting that all employees attend.
Cons
Since I was working virtually instead of at an office, I sometimes felt isolated from my co-workers. Another downside is that the culture is somewhat older. Also, the headquarters is in a small town in Indiana, which is somewhat difficult to get to for business trips compared to a major hub.
