      Software Engineering at Endace

      Pros

      - community involvement such as exercise drives, tree-planting - lunch provided Friday (suspended during pandemic but expected to return) - care taken about ergonomics and Health and Safety - a lot of different skill-sets among the different teams - flexible start/end times - a really friendly group of people that are great to work with

      Cons

      - customers and employees are in several timezones around the world, meaning sometimes meetings/phone calls are at odd hours

      Pros

      People were great to work with, they were all really helpful even when they had their own stuff going on. Some micromanagement depending on the project manager but overall was given adequate creative freedom. Free lunches on Fridays and fresh fruit throughout the week, can't complain!

      Cons

      Bit more guidance for people working on new projects maybe, legacy software of this scale can be hard to navigate.

      Pros

      Some of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with.

      Cons

      On call every hour of every day. Even when on leave. Once had the CEO call me on NY’s eve when on holiday with the family, to fix his brother’s computer at his multimillion dollar holiday house. No self awareness.
