Pros

Working at van den Boom has been a great experience. There are real opportunities to grow and advance and the company is doing exciting work in a fast-moving market, especially with its AI initiatives that are ahead of the curve. The pay is very competitive and leadership truly values employee contributions. The culture is supportive, collaborative, and positive — you always feel like part of a team that wants you to succeed. This is a place where you can do meaningful work, learn a lot, and actually keep up with a pace that is ahead of your typical industry standard.

Cons

The company moves quickly and holds everyone to a high standard of excellence, which can sometimes feel demanding. It’s not the right fit for someone looking for a slower pace or lots of downtime. That said, if you enjoy being challenged and want to grow your skills and career, vdBA is an incredibly rewarding place to be.

Pros

Comp is good for the market.

Cons

Unfortunately, the other negative reviews are accurate. The culture here is dominated by extreme micromanagement. Upper management expects constant status updates on every small task, even when you’ve consistently delivered and proven yourself. Minor issues or misunderstandings are often blown out of proportion, with tone and follow-up that feel more punitive than constructive. It’s a culture that prioritizes oversight and control over trust and professionalism. There’s also a noticeable lack of appreciation from leadership. Expectations keep increasing, but recognition and support do not. The quarterly review cycles are excessive and fail to provide real development opportunities or actionable feedback. I’ve always been a strong performer and take pride in my work, but this environment has left me feeling undervalued and drained.
