Pros

- Remote work - Better pay than market standards - Good People team

Cons

Long list of issues: - No matter your role, you’ll mostly end up working on WordPress - No company laptop, you have to use your personal device - Hardly any holidays, only a few national ones; festivals mean taking leave - You’re expected to update on Slack even for a 10-minute break - If you’re from a product-based company, this won’t suit you; it’s service-based with mandatory timesheets - My manager and their proxy were difficult; politics started before onboarding even finished - Leadership has a fragile ego

Pros

- Mid-range Salary. Like around 15,000-30,000/year - Remote work

Cons

The company is completely service-based, which means client gives projects to them, and they resell them by getting them done by us. A HUGE RED FLAG If you are coming from a product-based company, there is going to be a very HUGE difference. They are so proud of themselves that working with clients and having no in-house product excites them. I was hired as a Software Engineer, and I am now literally designing pages with Elementor. :/ You HAVE to complete 8 hours daily, add time entries, and get them approved. Oh yeah, Break is not included in those 8 hours, it's outside. So essentially it's 9 hours. Also, Team meetings don't count towards it. There are literally project tasks in EverHour, and you need to add a time entry of 8 hours there. There is no place for you to log any hours for meetings, etc. 8 hours means, full 8 hours of actual work, nothing else. No idea about others, but I feel like working in a prison might have been better than this. If you are not based in the INDIA timezone, you are BUSTED. You have to overlap hours for them until your PM or manager is happy. This means whenever they schedule a meeting, you have to be there, no matter what. Best place to make your work-life balance hell. If anytime you do something wrong, you are OBLIGED to hear harsh words from your PM. By something wrong I mean, I remember forgetting to do a 5-minute client task. The client meeting was 8 hours later. It was a hectic day, and I said I am sorry that I forgot those small tasks. I am doing it the right way. The manager was like "THIS IS NOT OKAY", "HOW ARE GONNA THINGS WORK IF YOU DO LIKE THIS?", "WHAT WILL I SAY TO THE CLIENT?" etc. Remember, the client meeting was 8 hours away lol, and it was a 5 mins task.
