      Pros

      Pretty easy work with good work/life balance, decent benefits package (insurance, 401k, some stock). Office is in a convenient location.

      Cons

      Serious organizational silos. Engineering had far too much control and used very outdated tools and methods. Projects would drag on and major fixes and updates would not get made. I was underpaid for my work.

      Pros

      Ooma actually walks the talk on culture; leadership communicates openly and the collaborative vibe is real, always working on cool new things. Work-life balance has flexibility built in when life happens, which truly matters.

      Cons

      Remote = flexibility. Also remote = occasional existential loneliness. Trade-offs.
