Pros

As a recent college graduate, iDS has been my first corporate job. When I started, I received a warm welcome and was very surprised by the energetic, supportive atmosphere. I had never worked for a company that valued its employees at this level and took every opportunity to facilitate hard work, but also make things fun. iDS hosts a variety of events for its employees like; monthly birthday and anniversary celebrations, quarterly volunteer events, networking happy hours, holiday parties, fundraisers, and an annual employee appreciation celebration. There has never been a dull moment in my two years at iDS. iDS manages to be incredibly professional and business-oriented, while giving everyone the opportunity to bond and get to know the entire team, including our executives and directors. From my very first day, I was offered many opportunities to hone my existing skills and learn new ones. As an administrative assistant, I assisted people in all our different departments and was encouraged to take advantage of shadowing opportunities. Eager to learn, over the span of my first year and a half I kept my ear to the ground and shadowed most of our departments. I took a particular liking to our forensics departments and just over two years since I joined iDS I find myself as a Junior Consultant in our Forensics department. This kind of jump was unprecedented, however, at iDS it is frequently reinforced that if you work hard and show your determination no one will stand in the way of your goals. Instead, they will support you and give you the tools to achieve them. I love my new position. I feel hopeful for my future and am eternally grateful for the supportive team at iDS.

Cons

As a small up-and-coming company, there are many pains associated with growth. As business builds and the team is encouraged to step it up, we still meet with the demands of this highly technical and fast paced industry. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with the constant advances of IT and absorb all the information thrown at us on the day to day. However, with our new Manager of Recruitment and Professional Development, employees have a new dedicated resource providing us with assistance in attending trainings, courses, and conferences in order to stay on top of innovation and advancements in IT. As someone new to the corporate world and eDiscovery industry, I value the training budget provided to us by iDS. This is something I feel my peers are not being offered by other companies! This is another added bonus to working at iDS that helps me feel more confident in facing these challenges. For every challenge I face, I feel there is the ability and resources for me to learn from them.

Pros

Very organized, structured, and professional team that takes their time to curate the right professionals that will fit not only the job-based need, but will mesh well with the team and culture. Management are a lovely bunch and value the importance of team building and supporting each other for the benefit of the greater whole.

Cons

As any smaller sized company, there can be some growing pains in terms of landing on best policies or business practices to support growth and, with an ever-changing landscape in eDiscovery, you have to get used to the demands and be ready to pivot.

Pros

I would strongly advise against working for this company. The environment is rife with racism, discrimination, favoritism, and sexism. It's clear that only a select few get ahead, while others are left to deal with biased treatment and unfair practices. As for the so-called "unlimited PTO," it's a complete joke. While they advertise unlimited time off, they'll make your life miserable if you actually try to take more than a couple of weeks off in a year. You’ll be pressured, scrutinized, and criticized for taking time off, which completely contradicts their policy. It's all a facade designed to lure you in, but in reality, it’s just another way for the company to control and exploit its employees. They Exploit Interns for Billable Work!

Cons

You get paid bi weekly.
