Cons

Too many cons to list. The rest of the non-fake reviews should give you a good indication of how bad this company is. If you're reading this, you're considering homify. I'll do a breakdown for you so you can decide whether or not this will be worth it. From a professional viewpoint, homify is the worst company I've ever worked at. You don't learn anything useful. There's no career growth, and the company doesn't do anything significant in the market. Everything is broken, mainly the website, which is the primary product of the company. The website has cancer, but management is treating it with band-aids. Thus, if you are applying for a position in the sales department, this is what you should expect: 1. Cold calling / Lead Qualification / Account Management. Highly repetitive, mundane, and ultimately useless. Sales have to find leads but homify's brand image is so terrible that finding people to sell to is extremely difficult. The leads they generate are utterly worthless. This causes unnecessary burnout, and has an adverse effect on mental health. 2. Promising things you know you can't deliver. The website doesn't do what it's supposed to, and the management is far too inept to figure out what to do. They place a heavy burden on salespeople to increase their monthly figures, not realizing that their business model needs to focus on recurring revenue. Account managers are tasked with speaking with the dissatisfied clients directly and even if problems are reported, there is no support from management. If it's an IT issue (which there are an infinite amount), it never gets fixed. Clients will constantly accuse you of being a scammer, and there's nothing you can do to prove them otherwise. 3. No sense of importance. Hierarchy isn't flat, despite what they tell you. The CEO runs the company with the help of his equally-if-not-more-unqualified university friends, backed by his billionaire dad who doesn't seem to monitor the bad job his son is doing. They have this whole "do what I say or stfu and leave" attitude, which results in good ideas and valuable information to be suppressed. 4. Disrespect. Management has this sense of grandeur and constantly disrespects their employees and talks badly about them. I've witnessed managers making fun of disabled people, making misogynistic comments, and making fun of their own employees' physical appearance. They never listen to what the employees have to say (even if everyone cares deeply about succeeding with the company), and employees are never included in big business decisions that are almost always illogical. 5. No sense of security. Smart but evil? Employees all go through a 6-month probationary period. Once you pass probation, you're entitled to more rights by German law, which is why they tend to terminate good employees before this period is over. There is an employee turnover rate of 1-3 per week, and the company doesn't take steps to tell their employees, even if we all find out immediately. Even if you perform well, management doesn't think logically, so nobody's safe from getting laid off. However, they hire cool, talented people and can get you that visa you need. They also hire people from outside of Berlin and/or Germany. This is a great place to meet cool people and party. Pay is decent. Good way to land in Berlin, but you better get ready to take-off before they decide to fire you. If you're serious about your career or mental health, look elsewhere. But hey, maybe a visa is worth it to you. Up to you.

Pros

There aren’t any pros working for this company. You will lose money instead of earning any

Cons

Working for this company is the first thing possible. I was told that i needed to pay a30.00 start up fee. After submitting several false reviews for product i never used only looked at. I came to a what they call a new product. I needed to pay 165 bitcoin to review the product. After several days i did it against my better judgement. Continued to review the products and another new product came up that i needed to pay an additional 550.00 for. So i decided that was too much for me to invest. Needless to say I’m out of the 165.00. The management are rude and unhelpful. They were also trying to encourage me to pay the 550 with certainty that i would be reimbursed. I find this to be unscrupulous to say the least. I did keep some of the screenshot from conversation that i had with staff. I was also threatened to be sued for stating that i felt like i was being scammed.
