Pros
Seems like a great place to work if you’re a white man whose favorite work pastimes include talking about sports and old school music, blindly perpetuating casual misogyny, failing upward into positions you’re unqualified for, and yelling over other white men to get your most basic work needs met. It’s really not so great for anyone else though.
Cons
-Seniority and decision making power does not seem to be based on a meritocracy, but rather on who is in-grouped. -Nepotism is rampant. Many employees are the friends/family of existing employees and are not qualified for the role they are in. There are several people with director level+ titles in things they have literally never done before. -“Old boys club” vibes. Practically no diversity or steps in place to change this. Feels like a relict of 80's corporate culture. -"Hustle porn” culture where people are rewarded and congratulated for massively overworking vs. leadership working to adequately staff and provide people with a decent work/life balance. -Everything is backlogged through a couple of private investors - every little thing that needs funds requires an elevator pitch to someone who doesn’t seem to know what they’re talking about. As a result, decisions seem arbitrary and plans could change at any time. -It seems many people have quiet quit - lots of (understandable) apathy, so it’s hard to get anything done. New people, expect most of your meetings to be half therapy sessions, because employees need to vent about the ridiculous state of things.
