the vast majority of people are at junior level (at most) at what they are hired to do. there are no basic procedures and workflows in place, most of the colleagues will look at you oddly when you suggest the obvious (like, a short description/basic business plan (1 page) that should motivate that 6 months development effort). most of the things that you take for granted in other places, at elefant.ro are subject for discussing - like the legal neet to buy licenses for what you already have in production and the necessity of being at your own-proposed meeting (I'm not even gonna mention the "on time" part). most of the work is done manually and anyone that suggests a better (even automated) solution is frowned upon. everyone has an ideea of how things should work (until they have to implement the changes - then all things are forgotten). chaos is the name of the game - even basic office supplies are uncertain (coffee, batteries, etc) and everything is the cheapest (chairs, projectors, paper towels, etc).
