Pros

As a recent college graduate, eBags provided me with an amazing opportunity to grow and challenge myself. My team and managers welcomed me and were extremely instrumental in my learning and development. The CEO and VP are some of the most personable and involved people I have ever met at a company this size and their open door policy makes them all the more approachable. I can not imagine another environment that is as welcoming as eBags was to me and I am so grateful to call eBags my home. In addition to the positive workplace environment, eBags offers exclusive discounts on some of my favorite luggage, backpack and handbag brands which is great for me because I love to travel. I am also very satisfied with my compensation and the manageable work-life balance that eBags offers.

Cons

The office is located pretty far from my home. Luckily, eBags offers commute compensation that allows me to take the light rail or RTD any day I please.

Pros

-New technologies are being implemented (cloud architecture, microservices...) -Microsoft centered so you won't be fighting to find open source solutions. -Decent benefits. -Summer hours (every other Friday is a half-day). -Bring your dog to work on Friday. -Happy hours every Friday. -Really cool people to work with. -Food trucks in the summer. -Competitive Pay. -Good work/life balance. Most people leave their jobs at the office. -Everyone below management feels as if they are part of a team.

Cons

eBags used to be a company that was one of the best in the city for IT/Development jobs. Since some shifts in management and attrition, it has slowly been on a downward spiral. -Working from home is now frowned up. -Doctor or personal appointments must be scheduled outside of work hours. -Charts with the stats on working from home, sick time and being late to work are now part of the email rotation to the whole department. -I suspect there will be a requirement for clocking in and out for all employees in the near future. -The micromanagement has gotten way out of hand. Innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit no longer seem to be the driving force. If you have an opinion that doesn't align with the micromanagement style, you will be called out, belittled and lectured to the point where you just submit. -Attrition is becoming a problem. Most all can be traced back to the micromanagement. -The future under Samsonite is very iffy.
