I wish I could've done something else with the last few years of my life - Account Executive cbdMD Employee Review

It's honestly difficult to find a good place to start. I worked there for a few years mainly because I truly enjoyed selling CBD. It became incredibly difficult to sell the products due to the inconsistency of keeping the products in stock , their formulas, label changes, etc. Many, many products have been discontinued for unrelated and unobvious reasons. This upset a lot of customers. I felt like 60% of my job was apologizing and trying to make up for the lack of care that they exude. Management severely lacked accountability for anything and instead would just have turn over. I worked there for 4 years and never got a day extra of PTO even though this was promised initially. After 4 years of blood, sweat and tears... my pay was CUT due to a lack of ability to track commissions. When I tried to ask questions about this, I was told: "it is what it is." Management of the sales team was lacking in leadership, care, accountability and simply was not fit to lead a team nor execute their own sales. Lastly, there was zero diversity. Everyone that works there other than warehouse workers are white and it is 100% true that there is a massive pay gap between genders. Men always had the advantage in this company and there was rarely women in leading roles. I highly recommend NOT accepting a position with this company. Nothing that was promised ever came to fruition.
