Pros
- Flexible work hours - Free cake Fridays - Free fruit - Some good people - Moving to the cloud - Company moving in a good direction - Team building days were recently introduced, great way to get to know other parts of the business - Subsidised canteen - Free parking
Cons
- Hugely negative outlook within the business, from both employees and managers, nobody is really 100% happy with their jobs and the negativity feels very contagious - No transparency within the business, a lot of secretive projects and rumours - High turn over of staff - No detailed product training and with such a high turn over, the product knowledge is walking out the door every day - Staff is 'replaceable' according to the head of delivery - literally told 'you are all replaceable and you know where the door is if you don't like it here'. - Career progression is very slow, juniors remain juniors for many many years unless they're buddy-buddy with management - Training is rare - Recent rearrangements mean there is a new 'small-change' team that is poorly thought out and managed, just highly paid developers stuck in a role with no development work to do - If you don't want to buy food, you only have access to a kettle or microwave - Pointless bar built that has served no purpose to the business and is never used - Benefits aren't all they're cut out to be, paying for a health care system you can never use
