Great colleagues, fantastic teammates bonded by how we all felt towards incompetent leadership CEO in Singapore. Ties with startup colleagues still maintained till today.

Lack of governance, HQ oversight on the atrocious and inexperienced leadership running the Singapore office. Leader used the aCommerce startup brand name to build personal ‘reputation’ and was more concerned about LinkedIn profiling to the outside world. We were sold as expanding and within the portfolio of part of the leadership of SG MY as well as VN even though in the CEO's short stint there he barely accomplished growing the SG business. Said management managed to hoodwink enough foolish SG companies as well - now being an operating partner in a VC firm. Go figure, truly undeserved. No one from SG team has had anything good to say about an extremely poor, immature and egomaniacal leadership style, who has ruined several members careers during that time. Ran the office aground with insecurities (lack of oversight also from HQ means governance is weak), fired employees at whims and fancies, lied to the teams about what has been accomplished. Good talent left pretty quickly and we all know in fast growing startups - talent is everything. Only pity the VC's portfolio companies now and the stakeholders that has been managed to hoodwink with his experience! I hope these portfolio companies aren't being run aground!
