Pros

The culture among analysts is typically supportive and uplifting. The people with whom you work are often kind. The rate of pay is adequate for the work performed. CEO is a business savvy fellow who understands the nature of running a growing and successful business. CFO is a delightful gentleman.

Cons

DiscoverOrg has grown quickly in the last few years and the management teams have had supreme difficulty compensating, with respect to leadership. Research leadership invites employees to give feedback and critiques, but only listen to those suggestions which would not require them to change too much (they will constantly tell you to adapt to change). Additionally, researchers cannot be too curious. Your value with the company is equivalent to your production, unless you hang out with your manager on the weekend, then you can get away with nearly anything (unscheduled coffee breaks, long lunches, smoking marijuana on breaks, etc.) Team managers are forced into micromanaging, though some seem to enjoy it. I have witnessed research leadership instruct analysts to break compliance laws in an effort to net the company more money. It is necessary to get things in writing, as research leadership will say things one day, then claim they never said them. Loyalty means more than effort at DiscoverOrg. Many people I worked with have assured me it is only getting worse and most are looking for new positions. This is a call center position, no matter what you're told. Tiny desk space, loud folks surrounding you, and weekly metric tracking where your goals may change weekly. They are quantity over quality, though they claim to be the opposite.

Pros

Get stuff done culture. Really increased the talent density over time. Good people who genuinely care. Forward thinking on AI - most companies are not there

Cons

Pace can cause whiplash - but a lot of it is market conditions and the need to adapt

Pros

ZoomInfo has an incredible company culture that truly stands out-- even working remotely, you feel connected and part of something bigger. The company has a strong focus on being a leader in its space and is constantly innovating, which keeps the work exciting and meaningful. There is a genuine willingness to let ideas and concepts flourish, and employees are empowered to contribute in real ways. I am coming up on four years here, which speaks for itself-- this is a place where you can grow, get promoted quickly, and build a real career. The development resources are outstanding, including McKinsey Leadership programs, internal leadership courses, and LinkedIn Learning. Managers are supportive and invested in your success which makes showing up to work exciting

Cons

At times, communication between departments can be a challenge at the individual contributor level, which can make cross-functional collaboration feel a bit siloed. Additionally, there is still work to be done around diversity in leadership-- increasing representation of people of color and women in leadership roles would make an already great culture even stronger.
