      Pros

      it was really good working at Zoom; at the time I was there, leadership was good (my direct experience, though I was aware of other management styles that were non-ideal given the stressful nature of Sales roles), Generally, the teams were amazing; a great pool of smart, passionate, driven and hardworking people - collaborating, learning with and growing was made easier by the vibrant group of people the business hires.

      Cons

      The business was very disruptive at a time where the world needed the solution is offered - and it did this very well. Call it timing, or outright innovation, or both; Zoom is a great solution. and over the last years, have invested a lot in acquisitions- to prevent becoming a commodified tool; that post COVID became more prevalent as organisations were reevaluating their tool stacks from a more sober standpoint- Zoom too had to make a shift from being order-collectors to strategic, proactive sales people; an angle that I am most familiar with and was very excited to grow into. L&D could have been greatly improved - as a new AE and a new part of the business in a difficult time, there wasn't enough given to grow the skills required to as an AE.

      Nothing about this company is worth noting.

      Cons

      One of the worst companies I have worked at. Management and leadership are disorganized and unsupportive. Employees get treated like dogs and are talked down to. No work life balance because everything is an escalation or because some “head” requested something. For a company so well regarded, they sure know to how be cheap and take away benefits. Parental leave is basically a slap you in the face. Comp is high but expect to have that dangled in your face or else you get let go. On site lunch and breakfast is nice but how much can you sugar coat the terrible work conditions with little snacks? Everything is such a mess. I’ve been here for almost 7 months and have not met a single person that enjoys their job. DO NOT JOIN ZOOM!
