Pros
I'll be honest. Zip is not the place to be if you want a comfortable job collecting a paycheck every 2 weeks. It's tough. We're building out processes, we're building out our market, and we're building out our sales funnel. That being said, this is very common for a 2-year-old company. It feels very much like a "move fast, break stuff" mentality, but I can't tell you how much I've learned in my tenure so far. We have a leadership with a vision to get us to our number. Our product is actually brilliant, and every single customer raves about how we're helping procurement teams. We're putting a sexy product in a typically unsexy space, and I love that we're creating a tangible difference for our customers. Some other pros: 1) Great benefits for remote & hybrid employees (catered meals, stipend for work from home) 2) Very intelligent colleagues. I feel like I learn something new everyday and I am never hesitant to ask a colleague for help 3) Very fair pay + benefits for just a 2 year old company. Zip is looking for top talent and will do what it takes to make you happy here. 4) At no point did I feel like I was working outrageous hours. I feel like I have an excellent work/life balance and my manager gives me autonomy. It's tough here, there are a lot of moving parts and things may not be always built out for your convenience but it's cool to see that YOU can be the one that spearheads a lot of the initiatives. C-level love to talk to you, and they let you take your ideas and act on it. Great place to advance your career!
Cons
As mentioned above, it's a rigorous company to work for! Sometimes it feels like numbers are not feasible to hit, but I do know that leadership has a very clear vision of ways we can hit them. A lot of people got hired at once, so you're going to have a lot of people who want to make an impact quickly. Again, this happens naturally when you have such a new company and a lot of diverse backgrounds.
