Having worked for the company for 10 years and being made redundant I went back to working in retentions thinking they were still a good company to work for. Unfortunately when I came back I had some personal issues to deal with outside of work relating to family emergencies and had to take some time off. I thiught the company would be understanding as they know me and being a previous employee of the year, knew my work ethic. While I still kept on top of my job and they knew the tough time I was going through outside of work (including hospital visits) they decided to end my probation. I handed my notice in before I was dismissed. They used to be a company who cared about their employees (especially employees who they knew they could trust) but this is clearly not the case anymore.
