Pros
1 - The technology is very promising 2 - Usually a good work environment 3 - Great place to gain experience
Cons
1 - Complete lack of VOC and market research mean you will work on developing a product for months or years only to have the company change direction when they discover there is no market for the product or it would never be profitable 2 - Expect to throw away a lot of your effort due to constant directional changes and lack of communication 3 - No competitive benefits 4 - People with experience in Med Devices do not last long or stay away altogether because they can see the numerous holes in the company (for example there are ZERO people in marketing, regulatory, legal, or doc control and only one person in quality) 5 - I really was optimistic for the first couple of years, but now.... 6 - Oh, and literally the only way you get any idea of the financial security of the company is by how willing the CEO is to sign Purchase Orders. No idea who the investors are, if we ever got new investors, or if the company will still be open in two weeks.
