I spent a short time at the company during my probation period. Unfortunately, I encountered a toxic team dynamic early on.
One senior colleague regularly displayed emotionally volatile behavior – shouting at his screen, criticizing others, and creating tension in the office. Several people witnessed it, but no one addressed it. When I raised minor concerns or asked clarifying questions (as part of my job), it felt like I was walking on eggshells. Instead of support, I was met with passive aggression or silence.
I was eventually let go without clear explanation – just a cold, short meeting. No warning, no feedback, no second chance. My responsibilities were handed over during a meeting where most people looked visibly uncomfortable, except for the person who had made my work difficult in the first place. It felt like a team where power dynamics and ego mattered more than fairness or collaboration. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you're prepared to tolerate unaddressed toxicity and unclear expectations.
Ask who you’ll be reporting to. Ask how feedback is given. And most importantly – observe how people treat each other when they think no one's watching.
