Pros

I guess tutoring rich white kids looks better on a resume than flipping burgers

Cons

Unpaid "training": in the job contract, the first three sessions you provide are completely free. They say that these are training, but I taught these classes with no assistance. When I realized that these sessions were essentially free labor, I negotiated with my manager to receive compensation for this. However, when payday came, I was not compensated for these hours until I reminded my manager of this arrangement and showed her what she had said in writing. I quit because of this and found a better job, which is unfortunate for Zaniac because I have years of tutoring and teaching experience. It's super hard to get hours and most of the time hours are often not consecutive. Some people worked there for months without getting scheduled. It's annoying to be scheduled for several 2-3 hour shifts throughout the week, instead of one or two 7-8 hour shifts. Also, the kids are all spoiled brats who really don't need extracurricular tutoring.
