Pros

No pro’s come to mind, other than the somewhat above average pay.

Cons

The cons that you see about upper management and nepotism are all true. This company is a dictatorship and they don’t care about anyone unless their last name is Yorke. There are no standardized processes, proper trainings, or support from leadership. The Yorke’s version of benefits are boring, weekend long trips that you’re obligated to go on, or you don’t look like a team player. Turnover is crazy high the past few years and it’s clear why. This is a horrible place to work for so many reasons, and I’m glad I got out. If you’re reading these reviews because you’re interviewing or wanting to join, don’t. It will be the biggest mistake you make. To say that Yorke has a toxic environment is an understatement, because it’s so much worse than that. Leadership (not just the Yorkes) won’t care to support you, even if you voice your concerns about an issue. The slightly above average pay isn’t worth your sanity. To them, you’re just an expendable, billable resource.

Pros

Yorke makes a point of allowing people to do what they love; over my years here, I've given feedback on the responsibilites that I enjoy, that I don't, and what projects I'd like to be involved it - and they've listened. My role has shifted more towards doing when I love. They place a high priority on company culture and work life balannce. They invest a lot in both fostering a community in the workplace and in individual professional development. I understand that community in the workplace isn't for everyone, but personally, I want to work in a place where I know and enjoy time with my coworkers. They have optional clubs, activities, happy hours, and sports to be involved in. 5 times/year they require staff to travel into the headquarters for meetings, but those are the only mandatory events. The daily hours/schedules are flexible, and they respect PTO/time outside of work hours. They pay very well.

Cons

Holidays and PTO are pretty limited. Other reviews complain about nepotism...yes, it is a family owned company, started 30 years ago by the current owner, but I have never see nepotism shown in a unfair/concerning way.

Pros

Good work experience, pay, and collogues

Cons

Filling out a timesheet can be tricky, fast paced, can sometimes be lacking in guidance, stingy with overhead, in need of more senior project management, infrequent holidays.
