Pros

After being employed by Yardi Systems for 13 months, I can say my personal experience with the company has been completely positive. Loyalty and hard work are recognized and rewarded. The first year can be frustrating until you begin to get a firm handle on the software, its functionality and capability. The more you learn, the more there is to learn, so the challenge stays fresh. Being able to multi-task and perform at a high level will earn you additional monetary compensation, almost a 17% increase in one year for myself. If you see other reviews that are negative I would first question the work ethic of the poster and get a good feel for their personal sense of entitlement, some of the newer folks coming out of college think they should be making 85k the second year. Yardi in my experience has been a place that rewards hard work and you absolutely can't beat the laid back atmosphere and dress code. Join Yardi and work hard / play hard, very rewarding experience. I have seen many people promoted in the past year, at least in Raleigh it seems to be the performers who have been rewarded.

Cons

The company has grown so quickly that many things where standardization would be a benefit suffer due to its lack, however, it is apparent that in most area's this is a known issue and being addressed.

Pros

Time off when you're able to get it.

Cons

If you are a high performer, be prepared to take on the workload of others. The company does not consistently hold underperformers accountable, which often leaves stronger employees constantly cleaning up the gaps. Hard workers tend to get burned out quickly. Work life balance is a significant challenge. It’s common to work through vacations, as you are expected to find coverage for your responsibilities while you’re away and reliable coverage is difficult to secure. This can create added stress both before and during time off. Overall, the environment may be manageable for someone who prefers a slower pace, but overachievers should be aware that their workload will expand without additional support. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Lack of accountability for underperformers, which leaves high performers constantly left to fix their mistakes.
