Pros

Yara is a company with relevant mission and vision to me. I feel being part of the solution at all levels I worked so far. This company gives me opportunities to grow and develop my career, develop my skills and leadership. There is a very good spirit in all units I worked for, colleagues are open, willing to share knowledge. All in all, I really much enjoy working for Yara as I have a purpose that drives me, in an environment where I can learn and grow.

Cons

The organization is quite big, so it is not always easy to understand the overall strategy and processes, it requires time. Work load is quite intense, and not always easy to find a good work-life balance. International moves are encouraged however the incentives/packages are not always to the level of the needs. There is still too much of "internal politics".

Thank you for your review!! I am glad you have mentioned our mission and vision. Indeed at Yara there is a strong unified awareness about how what we do impacts our life and the environment around us. We all feel that we do business with a purpose, and our shared values help us to feel we are one Yara :-) Yara operates in sometime complex environments, so I believe it may not be easy to understand the overall strategy. You are correct that at Yara people can a lot of opportunities to do international experiences, however, based on my experience, relocation needs or expectations may differ from person to person, and it is not always easy to meet everyone expectations. In this respect, it is always good to have am open dialogue with local HR, to make sure you get all the support you need. :-)

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits, decent work/life balance (depends on your role), established and well regarded products.

Cons

They hire excellent people on the ground, but DEI hires in C-suite managmeent are bad. Toxic, narcissistic "leaders" are promoted based on gender instead of aptitude, and cancerous individuals are slow to be removed because of the emphasis on DEI. Yara used to be and could be a great place to work again, but they need to get rid of the problem people to get there.
