Pros

If you are young and want a foot in the door to the tech world then it gives you an opportunity

Cons

-Do as I say not as I do mentality from senior EMEA leadership -Company dilutes perks and benefits through various takeovers and rebranding -Bias management style from senior leadership over treatment of teams and individuals -Complete lack of support from key stakeholders such as HR to management teams and individuals -US centric approach with senior EMEA leadership powerless to influence or shape strategy -Distinct lack of communication and accountability from senior EMEA leads -Too slow to act in general -Siloed team approach and constantly having to battle with internal teams was a drain -Lack of culture, mainly driven by various rounds of redundancies and rebrands over the years -They promote mental health but the reality of support and understanding was something different altogether -Expect people at times to do two full time roles for the same pay because of lack of resources and then not sufficiently rewarded

Pros

Relatively easy to get things done for a company with such a long history. Certainly not "start up" like, but processes like resource allocation have less overhead than working at a company like Google. Pay was pretty good for the midwest. I hear they are currently pretty open to remote work. It's also not the hardest place to work.

Cons

Opportunities are limited in software engineering. Since Apollo took over, SE was viewed mostly under the lens of "what is the least we can invest here to get the job done". There used to be a really good office in Champaign with lots of very talented software engineers put together. That's gone now.
