Pros

Client are cool to work with. It is a paycheck.

Cons

You will NEVER get a raise. They DON NOT reimburse you fully for travel mileage. Calls a lawyers office in Anaheim Hills his business office and you will have to subtract round trip mileage from your house to that fake office off EVERY trip you make. Thus it cost YOU money to go to the clients office and you will NEVER get reimbursed. Owner is nuts, yells all the time. This place has high turn over rate. People work there find out owner is stealing their money and they quit. Last one a couple of months ago, guy was due close to 2K on mileage as he drove all over San Diego County and owner payed him 200. Owner yells ALL the time. Owner isn't quite right in the head. - He's your typical dishonest salesman. Will lie to get you to join his company then go back on his word once you're an employee. Owner isn't quite right in the head. He's your typical dishonest salesman. Will lie to get you to join his company then go back on his word once you're an employee. You are ALWAYS on call. There is no on call shift rotation. Everyone is on call all the time. They expect you to carry your work phone with you everywhere you go on nights and weekends and are REQUIRED to respond to client needs within 4 hours. No overtime pay and you will work nights and weekends without compensation and often not even a Thank You. Small and dying company. Very high employee and client turnover rate. Employees often leave extremely upset due to how the owner treats them. Do yourself a favor and run away from this place.

Pros

The best part of working at Xonicwave is that you are given autonomy, the freedom to do things without a large amount supervision, and you can work from home often when you're not on a large project. Since it's a consulting firm, you're working somewhere different every day on a week rotation. The clients are generally pretty cool, but the distrust and disconnect because you are an outsider is fairly difficult to overcome.

Cons

Management is extremely hot tempered. Prepared to be yelled at every day. The flip side is that management is also extremely accurate. It gives me a little comfort to know that I have that much experience backing me and looking out for the long term, but the yelling gets tiring. Also, the pay sucks. It's not the fault of management, the savings are passed to the client, which is the whole idea of the business model. You can recover that with referral fees for bringing on new clients, but that's not an easy feat, especially when you're focused so heavily on tech support.
