      Interesting Company with lots of Potential - Software Engineer Wrap Employee Review

      Pros

      - CEO is inspirational and a master at raising funding - Product is actually really cool and potentially revolutionary - Good talent in Engineering and Design - A lot of fun and interesting people work here - Great catered lunches, and plenty of snacks - Relaxed working hours - Office is great

      Cons

      A lot of it is typical startup stuff. There is too much management relative to the number of worker bees, leading to some unnecessary meetings and politics. We don't yet have true product market fit, and are burning more money than we bring in. There has been some instability in management due to these factors, but that appears to be resolving as we grow and land more paying customers.

      Pros

      - Founder/CEO is awesome and inspiring. He truly embraces the concept of an evolving product. - Product, sales and design teams are creative and very driven. The always provide clear guidance and understand the concept of incremental development. - Office is peaceful, friendly, and well organized. Food is beautifull! - Technical team is diverse and experienced with very broad technical expertise. This is not the first rodeo for our VP of technology. We're a startup, but we're not green. I'm really thrilled to be writing Scala / Akka code, and building robust and scalable services for deployment in AWS. Seeing the system evolve each day is really satisfying.

      Cons

      - Could really use some more strong scala/java developers to help drive our technical goals more rapidly. - QA team is understaffed, as well. The are awesome, but there are only so many hours in the day. - There's too much chocolate in the office. (Okay, that's not really a con, but I wanted to make sure I surpassed the minimum word count!)
