Pros
No actual work involved (you just walk dogs all day), you basically set your own schedule, no one hanging over your shoulder watching you, get to be outside and active
Cons
1) Management is a joke: they only sort of know what they're doing and have at least one disaster a week. None of them are over 30. Lots of big talk and empty promises. THIS COMPANY OFFERS NO BENEFITS. 2) Hours are completely unpredictable: you could have 2 walks on Tuesday, 6 on Friday and then a 6am walk on Sunday, and you can't complain. Plus they expect you to be free 10-5 M-F no matter what, even if you have nothing scheduled. 3) Pay is criminal: They promise to pay you a salary and then switch to a pay-per-walk system in the middle of a pay cycle, but then they don't provide you with enough walks to pay your rent (you're not an independent contractor so it's up to them to get you walks). Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake they suggest you get a second job while they continue to assure you that they'll find you enough walks for you to make a living. 4) Completely inefficient: you're responsible for getting yourself to all your walks, even if they're a 45 minute bus ride away. I spent a ton of money on public transportation and most of my days were wasted commuting instead of walking dogs.
