Pros
WQ developed my skills & career by continually stretching me. I have had the opportunity to architect and develop mission critical software, manage my own risk, lead teams, coach others and build an entire department of staff in 8 locations around the globe. I am challenged by my peers, the firms leadership and the people who report to me. The firm is results focused so you are free to solve problems in any way but you still benefit from the scrutiny of others and thus the opportunity to learn from them. I was lucky, I gambled joined a high risk small team that became a successful firm. There are many funds I considered at that time which went on to fail. The track record of WQ is extremely impressive so the stability of the environment is a strong selling point.
Cons
There is downside to great success. We often have many ideas and don't know which will work so we have a try many and then fail fast. This can lead to people feeling like there is a lot going on and having to juggle many priorities. It is a quality problem to have.
