Pros

Strong company values - people choose to work here even though they could earn a higher salary elsewhere. Mission and service drives the reason people elect to work here which brings a sense of camaraderie that does not exist in other working environments. The concept of work/life balance is very real here. You can have a rewarding career full of great challenges to persevere through, while still being home for dinner every night.

Cons

Company does not practice strong change management principles which makes it very difficult to institute changes to process or work models. It's like pushing boulders up a muddy hill backwards. Company also does not performance manage people well resulting in wasted donor dollars for low production staff.

We love that our employees like yourself are so passionate about our mission and values! Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding organizational change management principles at World Vision. Our goal as an organization is to shift from applying change management principles in a project-by-project basis to institutionalizing and embedding change management practices throughout the entire organization. We realize the ability to effectively implement change is a core competency that will continue to be extremely important as we continue to grow and change.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and perspective from the season you spent serving with World Vision. We’re grateful to hear that our flexible work environment and benefits supported you well. As a ministry, we remain committed to cultivating meaningful growth for our staff—believing every person is called to grow, belong in community, and become who God created them to be. Our compensation approach reflects our responsibility to steward donor resources faithfully, and we remain competitive, continuing to invest in development and pathways that support both calling and long-term impact. Thank you again for your important contribution to our mission to make a difference for children living in the hardest places. Ruth Iswariah Director, Ministry Enablement
