Pros

When contract recruiters are used, really great a finding talent to align with open roles in the U.S. You will get plenty of opportunities to apply your skills. You'll have more than any individual could ever handle in responsibility and tasks. The SF team is super lean, so you'll wear a lot of hats and be busy all the time. Amazingly smart colleagues, who are fun to interact with every single day. The way they updated the offices in the SF location is amazing. It was my honor to manage the campus! We started a lunch program while I was there, so hopefully that remains. Plus, excellent snacks and beverages are always available! Often you'll get to enjoy a hybrid role, and then SF will try to get a consensus for catered (lunch) days each week. Events are one of a kind! Exhausting to manage, but the access to resources is unlike anything you will ever experience. You will learn so much about event execution simply because of how insanely complex the facilities are. Amazing benefits - so that's a plus (except it's the only time I had payroll deductions for my medical benefits in California). But this was a huge highlight for me!

Cons

HQ oversight is tough. It sometimes seems they don't realize they are in control of the US entity too, both in attention, but also accountability (and properly identifying it). The changes I saw to local (US) leadership are kind of awful. A lot of folks that it was a profound honor to work with, support or interact with - are gone. It's the organization's loss - but they seem to completely detach from the fact that much of those actions were based on oversight from HQ (whether voluntary departures or "re-orgs"). The tech stack is overwhelming...you have access to some of the best tools in class, but far too much complexity (and still using terrible/antiquated programs like Box, with endless version control nightmares to keep you busy). Location...it's far from everything in SF/Bay Area. It's why I had to leave the organization, so this one is personal worst for me! Related too - it seems you can only thrive in this organization if you travel to HQ. In SF, you may be so burdened by work, it's just not realistic to focus on your own success.

Pros

This organization is constantly evolving but I think generally in the right direction. Great place for those who strive in unstructured environments.

Cons

Hours can be long and you have to enjoy travel.

Pros

Great exposure to ideas, good broad experience that can be applied to other jobs

Cons

Lots of infighting at the top, leaks down to lower levels. The Forum makes poor hiring decisions and teams suffer.
