Pros
Pay is lower than standard, but with excellent yearly evaluations the Amazon stock grants can be as much or more than the salary, virtually doubling your income. But you have to wait a long time for them to vest. The health benefits are excellent and inexpensive. Time-off is generous but the workload is so high, it's difficult to take it. Casual attire (jeans, shorts, t-shirts). Management is concern with professional growth of every employee but most of the mid-management positions are in Seattle. Great resume builder. Upper management is friendly and accessible.
Cons
The hours are long. Pay is not competitive (but over time will pay off). High stress environment. They hire outside the company or transfer people from Amazon for most middle and upper management positions. Located near the intersection of two tollways, chances are you'll have to take one to commute, which gets expensive. To move up in the company, you're probably going to have to move to Seattle.
