Pros
You'll go far if you know someone or are related to someone. If they really like you, sometimes you'll see some benefits but beware that it only ever lasts so long, unless you are related to someone. And the yearly Christmas ornaments were nice, if you are into that sort of thing -I wasn't.
Cons
It is really hard to move up unless you are related to someone. They hired quite a few outside folks for management positions in the several years I worked there and many of those folks didn't last. And they didn't bother posting these positions, it was almost as if someone high up had a friend and said "Hey, I can get you a job!" and then a position was created and this new person was announced. Also, if you are salary, do not expect OT or even comp time.... if you work more than 40 hours a week, and chances are you will as a salaried employee, you will be lucky to get a "thanks!". And the HR ladies -just do your job and stop taking sides and playing favorites.
