Pros

Easy access to tollway system. Adequate employee parking. Comfortable office environment/surroundings. Cafeteria on company premises.

Cons

Restrictive policy on working from home (downgraded with new mgmt). Confusing, convoluted, misguided directions from Marketing Director. Wasteful, time-consuming projects. Lack of attention and consideration of employee comments/guidance with respect to new initiatives and legacy processes. Refusal to heed advice and expertise from work colleagues with substantially more experience and know-how pertaining to marketing principles/procedures. Lack of clarity from Marketing Director with regards to implementing new projects (pros/cons). Cut throat work environment where upper mgmt. takes credit for successes and and blames fellow employees for failures. Non-cohesive team (lack of direction and focus to properly execute given plans). Long hours, hectic days, always on call. Senior Mgmt. will contact by email or phone to ask work related questions on days off.

Cons

None. The existing Product Leadership is highly effective and perfect as is. Don't change a single thing.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s great to hear that the product culture, autonomy, and exposure to meaningful challenges are coming through so strongly, along with the support for growth into leadership roles. Creating an environment where people feel trusted, can contribute, and continue to develop is a key part of how product teams succeed. Pros

Wolters Kluwer has some genuinely amazing people working for them and offers flextime for good work/life balance

Cons

Recently began pushing to "inhouse-outsource" as much of the core business functions as possible to their new service center in Pune, India. While many of my Indian colleagues are exceptional people, the constant turnover with overseas contractors and haphazard hiring and training process means that many of these staff members are woefully underprepared and set up for failure. As an example, I had to train my Indian contractor replacement before I left - while he was a lovely person, he had zero training in or experience with US payroll, benefit or tax structures despite that being approximately 50% of my core job function.
