Pros
Some helpful people (only a handful) Work from abroad 90 days a year
Cons
I'm hoping this message gets through to all those people thinking of whether they should apply or interview at this company. ---> If you care about your mental health, don't work at Wise. This place is not toxic, it's lethal: - They share fake mantras like "no drama, good karma" but all you can see around you is drama, gossip, managers pretending to work by replying to slack threads, and absolutely no substance or strategy at all. - Managers are random people who happened to be hired there and stayed until someone asked them to manage other human beings, which they do by treating them like nothing. - I was bullied, gaslit and harassed by a pathetic person who had no knowledge of languages or global strategies, no life and expected me to be online all the time. - After I quit (they couldn't fire me as performance reviews were positive all around) almost all of his team (SEO) left or was fired. All PMMs left. Another person affected by racist comments quit. Someone in SEO told me of misogynist comments too. - It's honestly the worst place I've ever worked for and I regret to this day having accepted that job. My mental health was heavily affected with panic attacks, insomnia, stress, and depression. - Ask yourself why all positive reviews have "less than 1 year" in the title. That's because Wise asks people in probation to write a review. - They will promise you parties, promotions, autonomy. It is to cover their perpetual culture of silence, gaslighting and fake mantra cults. I hope no one else will ever go through this as it's completely horrible and should really be looked into by independent companies.
