Pros

Chance for good commission money if sales are good. Hourly pay in addition to the commission. Helps you learn and develop people skills.

Cons

You are basically a punching bag for upset customers. Constant billing complaints and when you say to call customer care they get more mad. You are expected to push so many products on customers who don't need it because of goals set by higher-ups. Customers hate being pitched a new tablet when they are only getting a new phone in a pinch because they broke theirs and already complained about the price of the new one. Then we are expected to pitch headphones, they say no. Now pitch a smartwatch, they say no. And if you don't pitch every type of item then you get "coached" on it.

Pros

Decent pay and commission opportunities, especially early on Good training at the beginning Some district managers genuinely cared about their teams and tried to do the right thing Opportunities to move up if you aligned with leadership expectations

Cons

Store employees are often treated poorly and seen as disposable Toxic culture that prioritizes numbers over integrity Widespread unethical sales practices in many locations, including slamming customer accounts with features or lines they did not request or understand Store managers engaging in deceptive behavior were often rewarded with recognition, bonuses, and trips Honest employees were at a disadvantage compared to those willing to cut corners Inconsistent leadership: district managers were either excellent or extremely ineffective, with no middle ground High stress, high pressure environment with little accountability at the top
