Pros

Good starting pay and good benefits package.

Cons

Was there less than a week when my manager decided he was going to send me to another state for a five month job; he gave me three days to make all the arrangements. It was insane! I had just signed a one-year lease for an apartment and was going to have to give them two months' rent for breaking the lease; I would have to get my stuff into storage, arrange for movers, cut off utilities, get my car in order and all without even having my first paycheck! I asked for an advance and my manager said I would have it before I left. Well the advance didn't come in so after I had made all the arrangements, I had to cancel. Went thru this twice-I finally decided to resign. The manager was condescending and rude, completely uncaring of my situation. I would've loved the opportunity but the entire experience was very negative and stressful. A friend that also works for Wipro has been sitting on the bench for months waiting for an assignment. He is bored silly. There is no logic behind their decisions.

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
