Pros
There is nothing good about Wipro in Hong Kong at the moment.
Cons
1. poor communication. written document is unclear/vague. even the employee contract is very vague, unlike many other companies whether MNC or local 2. poor benefit. 7 days AL. Wipro makes sure the benefit offered to Hong Kong staff is at the bare minimum to stay legal, but not competitive to market 3. they don't accept idea/voices for improvement. when ideas for improvement is suggested, they are ignored or give associates the impression to just shut up and accept whatever current inequalities/broken function they are facing 4. there is no local HR. The HRs managing Hong Kong is in Singapore/India/Mainland china, all of which has better benefit than Hong Kong. Hence, there is no need to improve benefit of Hong Kong staffs 5. don't expect 13th month salary as bonus, which is common in Hong Kong. this is non-existent for Wipro Hong Kong 6. no special leave such as marriage or compassionate leave 7. medical plan offered is bad, expense often cannot be claimed. It can be claimed on the first time, but during 2nd claim for similar issues, the insurance company will say they don't cover it anymore. eg. registered Chinese medical practitioner is not covered anymore 8. OT pay is non-existent even when client requires outsourced staffed to OT as it is a business needs 9. there is no office in Hong Kong, as there is no admin/HR staffs. there is no where for staff to go to when they want to find admin/HR for help when there is enquiry that needs immediate attention 10. Questions emailed to HR often gets ignore and there isn't even a confirmation of whether they received your email or not. And there is of course no local number for staff to call as there are no admin/HR staff in Hong Kong. The numbers available are usually in mainland china, india or singapore, that is if your phone has IDD plan
