It's always unfortunate to see a past employee masquerade as a current employee on Glassdoor and write an unfavorable review. We did offer an internship program awhile back to try and give people a start in IT that didn't have any previous experience. Our thought was that we would pay just over what high school kids could make in other jobs and take on the immense training task. Unfortunately some of the folks we hired took a job paying what would be appropriate for a high school student and then held it against us for giving them a chance. Every single person who stayed with us through that program has now been promoted and is happy at WingSwept and we're very glad to have them be part of the team.

Pros

I've worked at WingSwept long enough to say with confidence that this is a company that actually practices what it preaches. The leadership team runs the business with a clear mission and genuine care for employees' professional and personal growth. The culture stands out. People play ping pong on breaks, organize sports at lunch, and actually look forward to the monthly company lunches. The break room and patio are always in use. It sounds like a startup perk list, but it's been this way consistently — it's just part of who the company is. Being partially employee-owned through the ESOP gives everyone skin in the game, which creates a different kind of accountability and pride in the work. The company also prioritizes giving back — regular charitable contributions to local organizations and volunteer events that employees can participate in. The work itself is solid too. WingSwept operates as an MSP/MSSP with a strong security and compliance focus, and there's also a product development side of the business. There's real technical depth here, not just break-fix work.

Cons

With growth comes growing pains. The company has expanded significantly, and occasionally the infrastructure — processes, documentation, role clarity — is still catching up. It's getting better, but if you're someone who thrives only in highly structured environments, be prepared to help build some of that structure yourself.

Pros

The people of WingSwept make it great. The work itself is challenging and fast paced, but if you like to learn and grow professionally it can be very rewarding as well. There are tons of cultural elements to the company and no matter what your interests there are lots of ways to plug in with others.

Cons

Occasionally someone who isn't cut out for WingSwept makes it through the rigorous screening process and is hired. Typically those folks aren't interesting in upholding the core values at WingSwept which are Honest, Eager, Accountable, Respectful & Team Player (HEART). Leadership is clear on this with each new hire that those core values aren't optional or aspirational. If you aren't going to be able to live up to those then WingSwept isn't the place for you.
