Employee career development needs attention. Mentors work with new employees, but ongoing education is up to the individual - on their own time and dime.
I'd like to see programs in place to encourage and incentivize skill development, reimbursement for educational costs/certifications, budget and working time allotted to attending relevant conferences/workshops, as well as access to online learning resources.
