Cons
HR has absolutely no protections in place for us little pasers. The work load they expect for one person to do is absolutely insane. Other coworkers got away with doing nothing while more and more is laid onto one person. Any complaint I made to my manager was brushed off and ignored. A Nurse Practitioner harassed another of my coworkers while I was a witness. We brought it to the managers and they did nothing. We brought it to HR. Their solution was to put the victim into the float pool, but because my manager blabbed to everyone I went to HR I got alienated and people said cruel things about me when they thought they couldn’t hear me. I overheard one of the doctors say that they would never get rid of said Nurse Practitioner, even if she treats coworkers and patients with aggression. I turned in my two weeks notice and was very kind about it. However I overheard my supervisor complaining to A NURSE that I was “one of the weak ones bringing the team down”. All because I didn’t agree with someone getting away with aggression towards a fellow coworker?? I did not return after that day. I felt so disregarded and thrown away by people who pretended to be my “work family.” And I went above and beyond for this job, even offering to pick up a little extra work. But when I got overwhelmed with the workload I was ignored and treated like I was useless. I just wanted to be heard. But I was just the “front desk” so I didn’t matter as much as a doctor or a nurse practitioner or a RN. There are also NO raises besides occasional cost of living raises. And NO PROMOTIONS especially for PASERS. It’s a dead end job that paid me only 13 an hour.
