Pros
Made lifelong friends. No other pros
Cons
Where do I start! Worked up to Supervisor, worked in cash office and as duty manager. Then the redundancies happened and suddenly all what I had learned was taken away from me. Was offered a new role as a cashier, but they wanted me to at still train the new supervisors, oh and now I was on a lower pay rate. They want you to be fully flexible. I worked every weekend, so if you want family time, forget it as the company must always come first. you are just a number, i was only part time but regularly worked over 30 hour weeks, which is great if you want that, but i didnt, and when they've slogged you to the bone so much you decide to leave. There was no thank you at all for your 14 year service there with minimum sickness. When I requested a reference from them for my new job, all it said was I worked there from ..... Nothing about my progression with the company, nothing about my few days sickness in fourteen years. Morale is rock bottom. No Christmas party or gifts etc which may seem petty but it just shows how little value you are to them.
