Pros
*As an engineer, the word load is less than most corporate for-profit companies
* Free lunch everyday
* Somewhat frequent catered meals, endless snacks, lots of on-campus activities that are actually really solid
* Good pay, good retirement, small bonus, solid healthcare
* 4-5 weeks FTO and 1-2 weeks Sick FTO
*Great mission to help people become first-gen college students
* Great people- they care about how you are as a person
*Good team building activities as well. Makes work so much more enjoyable when you can be apart of a team you can laugh with time to time
Cons
* In August its 5 days onsite every day with hardly any flexibility to work from home. I loved 4 days onsite and 1 at home. I would take a $10,000k pay cut to get that benefit back. This alone moves WGU from 4 star to 3 star.
*Very poor management of projects. Lots of non-technical leaders who are very disorganized and not good at accountability for teams.
* Lots of Framework models at WGU but not good daily structured discipline for a lot of teams/departments
