Pros

Health benefits are great and the company covers premiums so out of pocket is really low for most employees. Salaries are good and the schedules are flexible. There's a high level of trust from management that you're going to get the job done there's very little micromanaging that occurs.

Cons

It's a thrive or perish culture. There's not a lot of on-the-job training and for the most part you're expected to come into the job either knowing what to do or figuring it out pretty much on your own. The PTO policy is also pretty bad. Two weeks accrued annually (actually a little less), and that's supposed to cover vacation and sick days. It's also capped at 80 hours so if you ever want to take a vacation longer than 2 weeks, forget it. I've seen a lot of turnover and burnout because of the company culture and PTO policy.

Pros

West Point Contractors has allowed me to grow with the company. During these times of the Pandemic West Point has kept me busy when not on a project site and for that I am greatly appreciative.

Cons

As with any construction company communication can some time be an issue between the field team and the office / management team.

Pros

Small Company, Great Staff, Lots of opportunity to advance and gain experience. Federal contracting company that worked on Federal land and bases.

Cons

Based primarily out of Tucson, AZ. Required a fair amount of travel. Salaries begin at the mid range per position. Had swings of low and high times as is expected with a smaller company.
