Pros
If you live in one of the small communities they operate in, the pay is pretty good and there is nowhere to really spend your money. The benefits package I had was really good with a pension. Generally I was offered training/upgrade courses which they paid for,
Cons
Most managers in corporate have no real power. They have to go to their manager to get permission to do anything which can be frustrating. They have a company doctor and if you have any medical issues that require you to take extended time off, they decide if your medical leave is warranted, which I'm pretty sure is not legal. There is no career path created for you to "move up". You generally have to be "chosen" to move. I've seen very high qualified people who should have moved up, be passed over by a new hire instead. Can be overworked easy as they have a hard time hiring people and keeping them. Although training is offered you may never get the time to actually do any.
